The De-Facto Provider – Omnipresent PDF Print E-mail
Written by Virag

The Protector, the Provider, the Knight in Shining Armor and such are the titles bestowed upon men and social obligations are also there to enforce the same. Inspite of the tremendous responsibility, men have, for decades, harbored the same as well, yet the society somehow always feels that men need to do more and more.

Expectations from men do not at all seem to come down. Things are down to the point that men have lost all voice in the society and their problems are trivialized like anything. Even ignored, falsely accused, the men have still not given up and are continuing in their bid to do well to the world.

For example the case of Bhargavi, the academically bright daughter of an autorickshaw driver in Bangalore who has topped the SSLC exams, is an example. DNA had carried the news of the plight of the poor girl and her parents. Though happy to have achieved the feat the economically distraught family was not in a position to fund her further education as reported by the DNA. The Women Empowerment Brigade in India making tall claims and huge ruckus at pub going loose and forward drunken girls along with boys (who were conveniently ignored subsequently) being beaten up, failed to take note of the fact that while alcoholism is not a constitutional right, education is, as per the 74th Constitutional Amendment. And when they had rocked the whole nation at hollow characterless girls' unconstitutional ‘drinking rights' being infringed they probably even failed to take note of this case and the plight of the girl.

The same Women Empowerment Brigade, which has been instrumental in framing, pushing and promoting anti-male, gender biased laws as well which have now become a tool of extortion in the hands of unscrupulous and morally bankrupt women, in the name of women empowerment, has probably also forgotten that its education and not easily earned tax-free alimony or extortion amount earned by filing false cases that defines true Woman Empowerment.

And here again, it was the De-Facto Provider - the Omnipresent Men who came forward to support the education of the brilliant student Bhargavi as reported by DNA wherein two Men, a law minister and a church priest have come forward to bear the educational expenses of the girl child.

Every year, 7200 crores are paid to the Women Empowerment Brigade from taxpayer's hard-earned money, 82% of which comes from men again to Empower Women. But one wonders when it does not have money for such noble causes which truly empowers a girl into an educated woman, capable of taking informed and mature decisions, where does it spend its money? If, for genuine cases like that of Bhargavi, it's again the men who are providing, then what is the Women Empowerment Brigade meant for? Why not close it down completely as its failing miserably in its task? Instead of breaking families, can it not take up such cases which can be Woman Empowerment in true terms?

A question unanswered, perhaps.

PS: Women Empowerment Brigade comprises 3300 women NGOs and NCW and WCD.

My Friend you forgot a crucial fact...
According to the dictionary specially published for the Women Empowerment
Brigade, A Woman is defined only as one who's either just married (Within last 0-7 yrs) or is just about to be married
(of marriageable age).
All other females are considered to be non-males, who should either be excluded from the
empowerment criteria, or punished by jailing them!

Poor Bhargavi is now just a young girl, who obviously doesn't fall
under the category of Women to be empowered... Once she grows up a bit more, gets her education by the financial help of
some generous men, and attains the marriageable age, then all those women empowerment agencies will jump into action to
teach her and train her with all sorts of brainwashing, as to how to treat all the Men around her as FREE ATM Machines,
and how to get the ultimate pleasure by breaking her own family anytime her Ego is hurt, and send the whole of in-laws
family behind bars for committing the grave crime of hurting her EGO!

Very True..
When it comes to discussions on woman oppression, Unanimous voice comes in.. Our mom and dad say "beti,
dont do this and dont do that.." but for my brothers , there are no such restrictions. its sick to be born as a
girl. because there are so many things u CANT do than things you CAN do.. DAMN!!!! These Woman forget that Men Stand in
the Que , and make woman take a place in shadow, offer cool drinks to woman in hot sun, and they themselves go thirsty
in the hot sun ( obviously because of economic conditions, most family cant offord to have luxury of cool drinks. at
leastyy my family cudnt..So girls used to get all these luxuries) and for anything, mothers say .. Son.. you go and get
it.. LEt your sister not suffer. Ages..,,million years,, this has been the trend. Woman never notice these. .. on
top of these more demands.. One of the most deceptive creatures for sure.. I am not a female hater. I am the hater of
men and woman who have given unnecessary attention to these lot.

Ok .. Now coming to the woman empowerment agencies..
I am still in touch with a woman who mailed to SIF group asking for help finding a job. I gave her the numbers of NCW
and asked her to contact them.. Still after 4 months, there has been no help from NCW for that lady.. NCW and
woman go topless in bars, then comes NCW. to be completely NAKED is woman's rights.. So we will fight for the rights,,
here comes NCW... Give a Naturally poor and undressed woman some clothes??? NO WAY... this is the Woman empowerment that
is happening in India..

Jai Hind.

Sneak A Peek

Men’s Rights – Perspiration or Inspiration?

As I think about the today's theme - it reminds me of Thomas Edison, the man who invented the electric bulb. He had made a famous statement "Things are 99% perspiration, 1% inspiration"

Same applies to men's rights movement as well. It is a matter of constant awareness campaign and hitting at our opponents and proponents of male abuse. Contrary to popular belief, it is 3 times easier to abuse a male than a female because males have no support structure and male abuse is accepted by the society as social service.

Follow Yourself; Not Tradition

As I have repeatedly mentioned in my articles that cultures have deceived men, acting as vultures. Men have been used as the FREE ATM MACHINE, the UNPAID BODYGUARD, the de-facto PROTECTOR and PROVIDER, etc. by cultures and in the process have been reduced to disposable entities. Their abuse is considered a social service now.

And men, the way they are, are in a great way responsible for this. They rarely challenge or question conventions, traditions, histrionics and stereotypes thrust upon them. They do not feel the need to fight for their rights - only a handful of them are doing though scores are getting victimized. They do not demand for their space in the society and accept things as offered to them.

To this effect, today I take the example of Skandagupta - the great emperor of India. His stepmother has him sent to Ujjain so that her son can be made the emperor. He obeys her. But then the Huns attack India under the leadership of Attila the Hun. The army of Skandagupta calls him back as they needed his expertise.
