Though normally I do not believe the studies printed in the media because most of them are bogus, redundant, unwarranted and most of the times irrelevant and look to me more like filing vacant real estate on their prints, this one caught my attention. It says in the next 5 million years men will disappear from earth and will be phased out of existence. The "Y Chromosome" will become the "Why Chromosome?" As per Australian geneticist, Professor Jennifer Graves who also specializes in human chromosomes, here is a distinct possibility that in another five million years the male sex will be consigned to the evolutionary dustbin, along with the woolly mammoth and the sabre-toothed tiger.

Genetic evolutions and mutations are part of nature's cycles and genes directly record the history of any race to the accuracy any historian can only dream to achieve. Degradation of genes talks of clear evidence of wear and tear. Because men have always been considered disposable by cultures that act as vultures, and have been sent mercilessly to wars to die for unknown people from unknown people, their genes have mutated to be weak and disappearing.

Men are expected to undertake all rough, tough and risky jobs and for this purpose they are castrated emotionally since the age of 6. This further adds to their genetic wear and tear. Another direct evidence of genetic mutation on species spanning the boundaries of generations is with mosquitoes. Generation over generation, mosquitoes are subjected to pesticides, coils and liquid repellants that keep them at bay. But continuous exposure to the chemicals has made their genes genetically immune to the chemicals and nowadays the repellants are rendered ineffective quintessentially.

Similarly, for men the continuous expectation to protect and provide for has killed their emotions and at the same time eroded their genes as well. This is a direct and irrefutable evidence of torture on men happening since ages and another evidence of almost no torture on women since they have been spared of genetic mutation leading to their subsequent extinction.

And yet, Governments across countries do not protect their men. Men, as a Diaspora are getting abandoned, neglected and cornered invisibly, proven with scientific research by leading geneticist Professor Jennifer Graves. But the media, society and the Government need numbers. What they fail to understand is that,

1. The numbers are already there. Some from India are explained here, Domestic Violence claims 156,000 husbands and Indian Men - An epitome of sacrifice. All they need to do is spend some efforts to recognize these numbers and make them the basis of providing protection to men by forming National Commission for Men and Men's Welfare Ministry, and
2. By the time, they get ‘convincing' numbers, the damage done will be irreparable since men would already be on the brink of extinction and damage control will be a failure effort.
