Men’s Rights – Perspiration or Inspiration? PDF Print E-mail

As I think about the today's theme - it reminds me of Thomas Edison, the man who invented the electric bulb. He had made a famous statement "Things are 99% perspiration, 1% inspiration"

Same applies to men's rights movement as well. It is a matter of constant awareness campaign and hitting at our opponents and proponents of male abuse. Contrary to popular belief, it is 3 times easier to abuse a male than a female because males have no support structure and male abuse is accepted by the society as social service.

A shift in this attitude is the key to success of the men's rights movement be it anywhere in the world. The attitude shift is a major shift and it needs a lot of efforts to put in merely because the worms of male hatred are too many and are loitering around in the society in large nos.

A massive awareness campaign, especially targeted to the police, lawyers, judiciary and media is needed. And this massive awareness campaign needs perspiration and not inspiration. Because inspiration happens once in life when the man faces the abuse and then decides to fight for his rights.

But it is extremely important to continue the momentum in form of various activities be it activism opposing gender biased policies by the Government, or listening to men with problems, or counseling them through personal empowerment, etc. All of this need a lot of perspiration and without that perspiration the inspiration is useless and ineffective.

In fact it is line with Edison's statement that it is 99% Perspiration and 1 % Inspiration.

Your reaction exactly tells me the amount of abuse men undergo that they cannot even realize they are living in
denial.

You just proved my theory correct.

Namastey - dont spend whole day laughing, take a break and read some news; The latest example is Air India case.. She
couldnt manage to get semen samples as in Shiney case so she tried MOLESTATION. I can see your inherant fear of
insecurity from your NICK name itself.. Whom are you scared of buddy? Grow up, dont be ashamed to use your own
identity!!!

Follow Yourself; Not Tradition

As I have repeatedly mentioned in my articles that cultures have deceived men, acting as vultures. Men have been used as the FREE ATM MACHINE, the UNPAID BODYGUARD, the de-facto PROTECTOR and PROVIDER, etc. by cultures and in the process have been reduced to disposable entities. Their abuse is considered a social service now.

And men, the way they are, are in a great way responsible for this. They rarely challenge or question conventions, traditions, histrionics and stereotypes thrust upon them. They do not feel the need to fight for their rights - only a handful of them are doing though scores are getting victimized. They do not demand for their space in the society and accept things as offered to them.

To this effect, today I take the example of Skandagupta - the great emperor of India. His stepmother has him sent to Ujjain so that her son can be made the emperor. He obeys her. But then the Huns attack India under the leadership of Attila the Hun. The army of Skandagupta calls him back as they needed his expertise.
