The Male – a prey to the Social Isolation PDF Print E-mail

This article has been inspired from “Trapped in a confined space, the human mind begins to unravel

Today’s Bangalore edition of the DNA carried an article titled – Trapped in a confined space, the human mind begins to unravel on page 6. The article talked about the psychological implications on individuals kept in solitary confinement either knowingly or unknowingly. While I won’t go into the minute details of the article, I would take some quoted texts,

A couple of years ago, the BBC aired a special show called Total Isolation. Six people were shut inside a cell in a nuclear bunker, quite in the dark. After, 48 hours, the volunteers experienced auditory and visual hallucinations, visions and an inability to sense time. Tests proved that their ability to complete the simplest tasks had deteriorated. One subject's memory capacity fell 36 per cent and all the subjects had trouble thinking of words beginning with the letter 'F'.

This was the psychological impact of 48 hours of isolation from the world on subjects who knew they were taking part in an experiment, and were assured of physical safety.

Marriage – A financial slavery for men PDF Print E-mail

It reminds me of Honorable Justice G Raghuram’s statement in a seminar, “Too much audio-visual input jeopardizes the cognitive ability of the brain” when I see the overwhelming amount of anti-male news and misandry in the media, perpetrated by women’s rights activists, popularly known as “Feminists” – though I prefer to call them as feminazis.

Ever since I grew up, I have been overfed with a feeling that women have always had a raw deal and thus never challenged the rampant misandry in the society – until I realized truth the hard way – by falling victim to the same misandry. However, it led to me an ultimate realization – that in actuality it’s the men who have always had a raw deal in the name of women having it.

One of the foremost social institutions where men get a raw deal and that too, a visible one, is MARRIAGE – wherein men have only responsibilities and punishments to deal with; no peace, no rights.

Male hatred is spreading crime in the society PDF Print E-mail

I had predicted long back in my article, More and more Baazigars in Formation that if men are not given their due space in relationships, marriage and society, they will turn Baazigars - one who just sets his own rules for his justice and does not care about consequences.

Amit Buddhiraja of Infosys did it in April 2008, followed by Sathish Kumar Gupta in July 2010, again from Infosys. The common link between the two - both killed their wives unable to bear the harassment from their wives and after their wives threatened to book them under false dowry cases.

Such deep is the male hatred in the society that these men knew, once their wives complained no one would listen to them and treat them worse than a criminal. Hence, they took the obvious choice, they became criminals clearly proving the adage correct - "The society creates the crime, the criminal commits it."

Now, the choice belies with the society, allow the male hatred to spread and be responsible for the skyrocketing crime or take responsibility for the same and address it.

Sneak A Peek

Men’s Rights – Perspiration or Inspiration?

As I think about the today's theme - it reminds me of Thomas Edison, the man who invented the electric bulb. He had made a famous statement "Things are 99% perspiration, 1% inspiration"

Same applies to men's rights movement as well. It is a matter of constant awareness campaign and hitting at our opponents and proponents of male abuse. Contrary to popular belief, it is 3 times easier to abuse a male than a female because males have no support structure and male abuse is accepted by the society as social service.

Follow Yourself; Not Tradition

As I have repeatedly mentioned in my articles that cultures have deceived men, acting as vultures. Men have been used as the FREE ATM MACHINE, the UNPAID BODYGUARD, the de-facto PROTECTOR and PROVIDER, etc. by cultures and in the process have been reduced to disposable entities. Their abuse is considered a social service now.

And men, the way they are, are in a great way responsible for this. They rarely challenge or question conventions, traditions, histrionics and stereotypes thrust upon them. They do not feel the need to fight for their rights - only a handful of them are doing though scores are getting victimized. They do not demand for their space in the society and accept things as offered to them.

To this effect, today I take the example of Skandagupta - the great emperor of India. His stepmother has him sent to Ujjain so that her son can be made the emperor. He obeys her. But then the Huns attack India under the leadership of Attila the Hun. The army of Skandagupta calls him back as they needed his expertise.
