When it comes to marriage, the protection offered to men vis-à-vis the harassment meted out is in strike imbalance and similar is the situation when it turns around to women; the alleged harassment meted out vis-à-vis the enormous protection offered is no less disfigured when it comes to balance.

Stark and visible bias by the police can be seen when it comes to suicides committed by wives and husbands.

On one hand we have the case of Syed Makhdoom who committed suicide, being exasperated due to the inhuman treatment he received not only at the hands of his wife and in-laws (who implicated him in a false dowry harassment case, blackmailed him and separated him from his son, who meant the world to him), but also at the hands of the barbaric police force and the insensitive judiciary. Before dying he recorded himself in his mobile and left behind a heart rendering and bone chilling video telling the world, as to why he is committing suicide and how his wife and in-laws are responsible for the suicide. Two weeks down the line we have a case wherein a wife commits suicide and blames no one in her suicide note. However, her father lodges a dowry harassment complaint and the entire family is arrested. First of all the father of the bride should be arrested since he gave dowry. If at all there was a demand then why did he give in the first place? Why he should not be arraigned as an accused for dowry giving which is an equal crime? But however, the truth is that inspite of the suicide note, not accusing anyone; the family is suffering from a false case of dowry harassment.

And coming back to the Syed Makhdoom's case, inspite of all the evidence available to construe the accused as criminals, though the police registered the case, under media pressure, as he was a member of the Save Indian Family Foundation NGO, but after that, they instead of arresting the wife (as they would do for an accused husband), the police have allegedly helped the wife flee away.

Not only that, the husband who has been arrested for wife's suicide was a software engineer by profession, whereas the ‘killer' wife who abetted the suicide of Syed Makhdoom was a professional bride who had extorted money from three of her ex-husbands by trapping them in false dowry cases.

All the above facts and observations clearly establish a fact that the police and the judiciary are worse than eunuchs who can only castrate innocent men but cannot control criminal women. And they call this as Women Empowerment. This Gender Based Justice of theirs has clearly empowered the women by giving them free wholesale license to commit crimes against men and get them registered as crime against women.

And they call it a man's world!!!
