Men are stereotypically assumed to be aggressive, violent and perpetrators of violence whereas women are stereotypically assumed to be gullible, innocent, docile and victims of circumstances, circumstances created by men in a male dominated world. And this thought process forms the basis of laws designed to protect women. And the same thought process also reflects in the way these laws are not only biased towards women but also anti-men in nature and gives a lot of credibility to the verbal version of evidences given by women. However, the concept of aggression of males and aggression on females is a perception and not reality. Aggression comes at two levels, one is physical level and other is emotional level. Violence is often incited due to provocation and provocation generally starts with emotional aggression. Females are more aggressive emotionally due to various reasons like, their physiological and psychological design as explained in Women are Wonderful, enhanced capabilities of expressiveness, social sympathy etc. And one of the most important weapons they have is tears. Whenever, they feel that they are losing ground in any argument or want to create unnecessary pressure, they start crying and this act steers the direction of any argument drastically and ultimately the man is made to apologize the woman even if he is innocent. This is how men are projected as aggressive and the irony of the fact is that men buy this argument as well. In India, people are even jailed on the basis of tears of a woman. When a wife wants to get back at her husband, all she needs to do is file a dowry harassment case (containing any cock and bull story) and cry before the judge. And in probability, the bail will be denied to the husband as it is a general perception that a woman will not cry without reason. Whereas the reality of the fact is, the women are smart enough to know when to roll their tears off and use the system as a weapon against the men to de-weaponize the man. Men do not realize the power of tears and keep underestimating their wives till they are hit below the belt due to that. And till that time, they keep talking of women's rights. This is the reason, today society is completely tuned with women's problems but at the same time is unaware of and untuned to men's problems.
