A conversation between two men, named A and B.
A: Hey dude, so what's up in life?
B: Well nothing much, just got married, got a flat of my own.
A: What! You've got your own flat in your name and you are married?
B: Yeah, what's so big deal about it? Everyone does that, right?
A: Man, wake up, do you know about the Domestic Violence Law? Just one complaint from your wife and the flat will be gone to her.
B: Man, are you nuts? Why would she complain if I don't do any violence to her? If I actually do, then probably she deserves it. And moreover, even if she files a false complaint, why would the courts support her? I have enough evidences to prove myself.
A: Dude, which world are you living in? Once the complaint is filed against you, no one will listen to you, only your wife would be listened to.
B: You seem to have gone out of your senses. In first place, I see no reason why she should file a false complaint against me? And I love her so much; I give her everything she wants. What else would one want for? And after all, I have bought the house for her only.
Surprised? Well most men are like that, Logical, straight-thinking and analytical. What they don't realize is that the world around them is not logical. Especially when it comes to a domestic problem between husband and wife, logic takes a complete backseat. In domestic problems, man is totally sidelined and the woman is listened to. But men realize this very late and even after realizing they do not see the picture in entirety and try to solve the problem like a puzzle, using their logic and analysis. In an illogical world, applying logic is a crime and that's what men do and get penalized. Too much analysis leads to creative paralysis as it stops us from being vague and unreasonable or to take extremist stands. This is exactly what is happening with men. They are following the same old traditional paths and getting trapped in the illogical world. Like the man B in the above conversation, was trying to apply logic and his own analysis as he was not able to digest what A was telling him. A was talking of reality which sounded illogical to B, so he was applying logic on it and ultimately rejected it. However, when B's wife actually files a false complaint against him accusing him of committing domestic violence against her (as per her own whims and fancies), what B does not know that there won't be any scrutiny of the complaint and the mere filing of complaint will go against B. Again B thinks that unless he does something, his wife won't file complaints as if he oblivious to the ongoing misuse of women pampering marital laws. It's not that he is unaware. Abuse of men in false cases is getting a lot of media attention these days, however, when B read it, he thought, those men must have done ‘something' otherwise why will the wife file cases? Most men think and analyze like that only. The day men learn not to analyze too much, will set the day for men's liberation.
