The media and the society love threatening its men as its amusement for them to do so. And ironically all this happens in a so called male dominated world. Today, the DNA reported news titled, Bad News for Men - lab grows sperm, which spoke of artificial sperm being developed and thus endangered the position of men as sperm donors.

However, I agree to disagree with the spirit of the article. This is not bad news; this is good news for men. Currently men do not have any dignity in the society and are treated as second class citizens. They do not have any rights be it in workplace or family. Currently men are treated as FREE ATM MACHINES and SPERM DONORS in family.

As FREE ATM MACHINES, men are supposed to be breadwinners of the family and are expected to keep on pumping money and when the marriage fails they are expected to pay alimony to their ex-wives irrespective of the reason due to which the marriage breaks or the fact that a failed marriage is not a crime, however, for men whether marriage failed or not, marriage itself is a crime.

As SPERM DONORS, men are supposed to father their children and then access to their children is decided by their wives. And then the same children are used to extort money from men in the name of maintenance and child support wherein again the men are treated as FREE ATM MACHINES.

Society expects men to continue to slog like a dog, keep minting money, get married, produce children and rear them so that the race propagates and in the entire process, due to the absence of men's rights, abuse of men either goes unnoticed or unaddressed even after being noticed at best.

And currently there is no concept of men's rights because men are busy preparing themselves to be treated as FREE ATM MACHINES and SPERM DONORS. Men do not realize the importance of men's rights unless hit below the belt.

With this discovery, it is also being touted that lesbians can also form families. This is very good news if men realize. It will lead to their liberation from the traditional roles they have donned for centuries together; roles which do not recognize their rights or redress their abuse. Men will get time to think for themselves, do something interesting in life other than donning the mundane role of a FREE ATM MACHINE and a SPERM DONOR.

Men will get time to organize, consolidate and strengthen their position in the society. Because of centuries' wear and tear, the Y chromosome has degenerated, as explained in Men: the Invisibly Abandoned Diaspora and is on the verge to become the "Why chromosome?", but now that men will be liberated with this new development, the wear and tear can be well compensated for.
