Anti-men coverage in the media is galore to be found. One doesn't need to search hard, almost every day some or the other news carries men in bad shades telling about some crime alleged to have been committed by the man. Bad habits like smoking, drinking etc. are considered to be male traits; aggression is considered a de-facto male behavioral trait.
Vices of men are not far to seek, everyone seems to know about them, courtesy the wide media coverage to it. However, as a matter of psychological fact, vices and virtues are inseparable part of human nature, like the two sides of a coin - which cannot see each other but always stay together - irrespective of gender.
However, under perverted social setups, over-Engenderization of issues has worked against men wherein only vices of men and virtues of women have come to forth. As a result, a stereotypic ubiquitous social assumption, a social meme, has established itself wherein the vices of men have become visible and their virtues have become invisible.
Everyone knows that men drink/smoke but no one is ready to bother about the frustrations that compel them to resort to the addiction. However, this argument is not at all meant to be a justification for the vice but it also does not mean that men are to be condemned for that. Men, in society, are not provided with a proper communication channel the way women are nor does the society take responsibility for its men the way it takes for its women.
Taking a one-sided view by looking at only vices and not understanding the root cause of its development, nourishment and nurturing only creates more and more hatred and that is what is typically happening now. Male hatred simply seems to grow by the second, I would say, given the way constant awareness by men's rights activists is falling on deaf ears and more and more anti-men laws are being proposed, formulated and passed.
On the other hand, whenever any calamity strikes men are considered de-facto unpaid bodyguards. Women are children are given priority over men. Men have been sacrificing their lives for ages protecting their homeland and families. For centuries men have borne the burden of the breadwinner for the family and sacrificed their hobbies and interests in order to shoulder the Primary Financial Responsibilities.
If things continue this way and the society continues to ignore its men under the vicious spell of the Visible Vices and Invisible Virtues Syndrome, men's abuse is sure to increase and we will be moving towards a lawless, marriage less and fatherless society.
